Indoor Summer Camps

Indoor volleyball camps focused on skill development, confidence, and gameplay in a structured summer environment.

Little Spikers (Ages 6–7)

Young athletes discovering volleyball through fun, movement, and fundamental ball skills.

Fundamentals (Ages 8–10)

Beginners learning the core skills of volleyball in a supportive, skill-focused environment.

Level 1 - Beginner/Intermediate (Ages 11–16)

Athletes with little or some volleyball experience who want to build confidence and improve their technical skills. 

Level 2 - Intermediate/

Who are the camps for?

Ottawa Fusion camps are designed for athletes of all skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced players looking for additional training. Camps are available for athletes ages 6–14.

Does my child need volleyball experience?

No. Our camps welcome athletes who are new to volleyball as well as those with previous experience. Coaches adjust activities and instruction to ensure athletes are appropriately challenged and supported.

What skills will athletes learn?

Athletes will develop a variety of volleyball skills, including: Passing, Setting, Serving, Attacking, Defense, Court movement, and Game play. Camp activities combine skill development, drills, and games to help athletes improve while enjoying the sport.

What is the difference between Indoor Summer Camps and Beach Summer Camps?

Indoor Summer Camps focus on developing volleyball skills, teamwork, and game understanding in an indoor court environment. Some camps may also include beach volleyball activities or outdoor training components, so athletes should come prepared for different environments.

Beach Summer Camps focus specifically on beach volleyball skills, movement, ball control, and small-sided gameplay in an outdoor sand environment.

Indoor Summer Camps

  • Athletic clothing suitable for indoor and outdoor activities

  • Indoor court shoes

  • Outdoor running shoes

  • Water bottle with lots of water

  • Snacks and lunch (for full-day camps)

  • Sunscreen and a hat (recommended)

  • Knee pads (optional)

 

Beach Summer Camps

  • Comfortable athletic clothing

  • Beach volleyball clothing

  • Lots of water

  • Sunscreen

  • Hat and sunglasses (recommended)

  • Towel

  • Extra change of clothes

  • Sandals or flip-flops

  • Snacks and lunch (for full-day camps)

 

Volleyballs and training equipment are provided.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Ottawa Fusion follows a Weather Policy for all outdoor activities, including beach volleyball components and outdoor portions of indoor camps. Coaches and staff monitor conditions and make decisions based on safety guidelines.

Any changes to camp activities due to weather will be communicated to families as needed.
