15U Purple

15U Girls Purple having some fun in Kingston (PHOTOS)

This tournament was probably one of my favorites from this year. The purpose for us was to try some new things such as quicks and jump serves. It was two weekends before provincials and it had been a while since we had last played together in a tournament. And since that last tournament a whole new team had formed. We were using a new rotation which some girls believe made the difference. The changes in our playing abilities were unbelievable.

We started off the day with a game against Northumberland U15. The games were very close but in the end Northumberland took both games with a score of 26-24. Even with our first match lost we moved on feeling really good about the way we played. After a snack break and some catch up with our friends on the 15U Fusion Red team, we played Pegasus RipTide U15. We had played them the previous weekend and lost, but this game was sure to change that. We won 25-21 and 25-22 but it was not up to the standards of our last match. The lead went back and forward between the teams many times throughout the match, as our game came and went. Luckily, our ups were extremely strong and allowed us to take the win. Next was Pegaus U15. For our first game we started falling back into our old habits and playing abilities leaving us with a loss pf 25-16.  We stepped it up for our next game bringing back the team from the beginning of the day. We won the second game 25-23.
