RMC, April 3, 2010
The clinic at RMC was a great warm up for the Girls 15U Purple team,
especially with the Provinicials and Nationals being just around the corner.
Being a first time competitive player, the amount of effort and care that
coach, Carolyn Weldon and assistant, Kara, put in was greatly appreciated. I
was surprised at how much Carolyn and Kara wanted to help us as a team and
how much they truly cared about the success that we have and the things we
accomplished at the clinic and in the future. The different drills that were
done were practiced to improve specific skills that needed to be worked on
with the team. Carolyn was an extremely great coach for the short amount of
time that we had with her. She made all the girls, including myself, push
themselves to perform at the best of their abilities but in the nicest way
possible. Many of the other girls that attended the clinic have told me how
much they enjoy working with Carolyn because of how much fun she can
make the entire practice. Everything that Carolyn taught us helped so much
when it came to Provincials and Nationals because it helped us become aware
and prepared for what might be coming with some of the more advanced team
that we play. The whole team is very thankful that we got the opportunity to
meet Carolyn and Kara and have them work with us to make us the best team
possible!
